Got a text response today from Rod Higgins, the former NBA player, current general manager of the Charlotte Bobcats — and father of Colorado junior guard Cory Higgins, by far the Buffaloes’ best player. I asked Rod if he had seen the blog written by ESPN’s Andy Katz on Friday. Katz, an excellent college basketball writer and reporter, and pal of mine, wrote that Higgins almost transferred away from CU. “Rumors were hot in the summer that Higgins would bolt,” Katz wrote.
